Itinerary
Welcome to Israel! Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Tel Aviv. (D)
Today after breakfast, head to Jaffa for a short walking tour in the picturesque alleys of the old fortified town. Proceed north to Caesarea to visit the ancient port, Roman Theater and Hippodrome. Later continue to Haifa for an orientation tour of the city. Visit the Bahai Shrine, Persian Garden, Mount Carmel and Haifa Bay. Later you will be driven to Acre for a visit of the old, famous Crusader stronghold and medieval fortifications before reaching Galilee. Overnight in Galilee. (B,D)
Today after breakfast, ascend to the Golan heights passing by Druze Villages. Visit a former Syrian fortification on the heights. Pass by Banias, source of the Jordan river to visit the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea, where Jesus preached the "Sermon on the Mount" and it is believed that Jesus picked his 12 apostles. Later, visit the ruins of the ancient Synagogue and Peter's house at Capernaum, Tabgha, just north of Tiberias, the site of Christ's miracle of feeding the 5,000 and at the Church of Multiplication, where the mosaic floor depicts a basket with loaves and two fishes. Later you will be driven to Tiberias for a short tour of the old center of Jewish learning and later return to your hotel. Overnight in Galilee. (B,D)
Today after breakfast, proceed to Safed city of the Kabala for a walk through the mystic alleys, a visit to a synagogue and the artists' colony. Next proceed to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood, and the Church of Annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary. Later travel to the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean to visit the excavation of this beautifully preserved Roman City. Pass by Jericho - the oldest city in the world before you reach Jerusalem. Today after breakfast, start the day with sightseeing of the Jerusalem new city. You will proceed to Mt Scopus for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Later proceed on to the Garden of Gethsemane and Church of the Agony. Later continue to Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book, then a visit Herodian city of Jerusalem. Proceed to Yad Vashem and visit Ein Karem, the birth place of John the Baptist.. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)
Today after breakfast, enjoy sites of the Old City of Jerusalem. Enter through one of the gates to the walled old city to visit the renewed Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall, The Temple area and the colourful bazaars. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Later you will be driven to Mt. Zion and visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. In the afternoon visit Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B,D)

FAQs
Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.
On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.
The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.
Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.
No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.
Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.
Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason.
It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.
For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
